Flat Stanley takes New York

What a long day. We flew from Helsinki to New York City, the big apple. We got to watch where the plane was on a live map. It looked like Flat Stanley was flying the plane.

Unfortunately we weren't able to see any of the city. Although we made the best of our layover and Flat Stanley tried to do some site seeing.

"Look, Roro!" said Flat Stanley. "It's the Statue of Liberty."

"It's close, Flat Stanley," I replied. "It's a picture of the Statue of Liberty."

"What about these over here?" asked Flat Stanley. "The statues next to the coffee mugs."

I said, "Yeah, those look like the Statue of Liberty, but they're not quite."

Flat Stanley looked sad, so I said, "We have to take a plane to Boston so we can explore that city. But when we have time, we'll come back to New York and we can go see the Statue of Liberty."

Flat Stanley's eyes got bright and he squealed with joy.

Now I just have to figure out a way to take him on a trip to New York.
